Adesina appointed editor-in-chief of The Guardian
Adesina, who is the longest serving editor in the country, was before his elevation, the editor and deputy editor-in-chief on the newspaper.
Sources close to the newspaper said with the new appointment, Adesina takes over from Emeka Izeze, who was the managing director and editor-in-chief.
The sources confirmed that under the new dispensation, Izeze will remain the managing director.
Before his elevation as the substantive editor of the newspaper, Oloja was the acting editor. He had also served as the deputy editor and Abuja bureau chief.
A graduate of the University of Lagos, Oloja had previously edited the first newspaper published in Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja Newsday. Thereafter, he became the bureau chief of The Source magazine.
