Our client in the automotive industry is looking for a financial manager to join their team in the Gauteng, East Rand area.
Minimum requirements:- Qualified management accounting degree.
- Professional financial body member (SAICA/SAIPA/CIMA)
- Code 08 License
- Minimum 8-10 years’ experience in financial management.
Duties and responsibilities:
- Responsible for the financial planning which addresses risks, resources, provisions and investments.
- Risk management with protection for the division against financial risks.
- Analyse financial statements and ratios and recommend improvements.
- Ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation, GAAP, IFRS, Policies etc.
- Consolidate and analyse the Division’s budget and financials.
- Interpretation and forecast of actual and planned financial results.
- Containment of expenses within budget.
- General management of the financial function and personnel.
- Develop a customer and market-focused culture within the department.
- Involve the team in yearly business and strategic planning with the department's strategic plan as an output.
- Clarify roles and tasks – Develop and empower team members.
- Actively carry through improvement activities and secure results.
- Contribute to holistic cooperation as a member of the general management team.
- Ensure effective financial management reporting.
- Positive cash flow and healthy balance sheet.
- Preparation of financial reports for internal and external auditing purposes.
- Motivated, trained and coached team members.
- Clear and well-functioning structure and roles within the department.
- Implemented action plan and achieved financial and other objectives.
- Working knowledge of all applicable legislation.
- Ability to conceptualise long-term financial strategies.
- Pro-active problem solver and extremely action-oriented.
- Good leadership and motivational skills with involvement and teambuilding capacity.
- Ability to structure and administrate new work.
- Good interpersonal relationship and communication skills.
- Department structure finalised including roles and responsibilities.
- Involve the team in department strategic business plan development.
