The Greening of Soweto is a project spearheaded by Johannesburg City Parks (JCP), and the World Conservation Union (IUCN) for beautifying the suburb before the 2010 FIFA World Cup. Pernod Ricard, under the brand Jameson, is one of the recently invited strategic sponsors which has donated hundreds of fully-grown Stinkwood, Riverbush Willow and Rhus Lancea trees as part of this social upliftment and conservation.
