Blade orders probe into students' fund
Higher Education Minister Blade Nzimande has ordered a forensic audit into the National Students' Financial Aid Scheme, the government's bursary and loan scheme for the needy students.
This year, the fund received more than R9-billion to benefit about 450,000 students.
Briefing the parliamentary portfolio committee on higher education and training, Nzimande announced the forensic audit to look into "collusion, maladministration and corruption" in the fund.
