New creative movers at Zoom
Zoom Advertising has appointed two new creative directors. Reporting to executive CD, Graeme Taylor-Warne, both Deon Robbertze and Karen Burns will strengthen Zoom's bid to go from strength to strength.
Multiple award-winning creative, Deon Robbertze is now CD in charge of brand and advertising work at Zoom. Deon draws upon a huge resource of experience gathered over the last 20 years in stills photography, commercial direction and art direction. Among others, Deon has won several Loeries for TV, outdoor and print advertising, a Cannes Media Lion, a Silver Eagle, a Best TV Pendoring and UK DMAs for best mailer and best promotion. He is passionate about Africa, drawing much of his inspiration from his trips throughout the continent. Deon is committed to his craft and applies high energy mixed with a meticulous dedication to detail.
Karen Burns has been appointed Zoom's creative director for design. Karen has worked on above- and below-the-line advertising and design for some major brands, including Old Mutual, Santam, KWV, Gilbeys, Namibian Breweries, Distell, Johnson & Johnson, Sasko, Truworths, BP, MNet and MWeb. Over the last ten years, she has specialised in pure design and in promotional campaigns, enjoying the challenges presented by multi-directional consumer communication.
