A heavyweight soul and gospel line-up to take the stage

Multi-award-winning gospel legend Reverend Benjamin Dube is a music ministerial visionary, songwriter and singer, music producer, mentor/father and pastor to many musicians and an inspiration to secular artists in South Africa. He began the journey of his calling in ministry in 1986 when he recorded a single, Holy Spirit, which was a cross-over hit song and chart buster on local radio stations and sold over 25,000 units in the year of its release in RSA.

With sixteen albums to his name, including I feel like going on (album sold Platinum - Harmony Records/Spirit Music), Praise Explosion 2002 (album sold Gold - Spirit Music/Dube Connection), For every mountain... Thank you (album sold Platinum), he was awarded the Best Male Artist and received a Lifetime Achievement Award at the 2009 Crown Gospel Music Awards amongst his many accolades.

KZN-born Dumi Kokstad, 25, is a young award-winning gospel artist and producer who began his professional career at the age of nine and burst onto the scene with his self-titled album, Dumi Kokstad, in 2003. His career continues to flourish as the winner of the Song of the Year in the 2015 Crown Gospel Awards.

The concert would not be complete without the feminine powerhouse vocals of Zaza Mokheti and Lebogang Sekgobela. Zaza started singing at the age of three and by age 19 had done backing vocals for renowned gospel artists such as Rebecca Malope, Vicky Vilikazi, Solly Mahlangu and Keke. She has been part of South Africa's biggest gospel albums, Joyous Celebration 12 and Spirit of Praise 4. As an international performer, Zaza has performed in the Netherlands, Paris and London during international tours.

Sekgobela’s musical career has grown over the years and she has had the privilege to minister through music in many places in her country of birth, South Africa, as well as abroad in places such as Singapore, New York, London, Chicago, Lesotho and Botswana. She has also performed with South African artists such as William Sejake, Vicky Vilakazi, Neyi Zimu and many more.

Rounding off the stellar line-up is powerhouse ensemble The Soweto Gospel Choir. The choir has 30 members directed by David Mulovhedzi and Beverly Bryer. The group performed at the first of the 46664 concerts for Nelson Mandela and has since toured internationally several times. Their albums Blessed and African Spirit won the Grammy Award for Best Traditional World Music Album in 2007 and 2008 respectively.
