Prior to working at Motus Ford, Emma participated in a Motus learner ship program as a cadet where she was exposed to all the different departments and had the opportunity to gain experience in all. I managed to sell 7 vehicles in the 3 months l worked at sales, l became familiar with the Automate booking system in service department and was assisting with making bookings and attending to customers when there brought their vehicles, l was also exposed to the parts department where l got to learn more about parts distribution. Collectively this exposure directed me towards the administration department where l gained experience as an invoicing clerk, thus catapulted me to the creditors clerk position. At completing my year as a cadet l was offered a permanent position as a Creditors Clerk.
As a cadet l was selected to be a group leader by my fellow cadets for one of the two groups we were separated into. It was my duty to ensure that all cadets where being exposed to as much as the dealerships there were placed in had to offer, if there was a problem it was my responsibility to address it with our leaders to make sure everyone was gaining from this opportunity. During my time as a cadet l was exposed to management courses, sales courses as well as interpersonal skills which have helped me in my journey
