Quality time spent as a sales executive taught me the dynamics of acquiring, retaining and growing the accounts, including understanding the production, distribution and costing disciplines that support Sales.
All of these skills acquired converged into my 5 year role as a Sales and Marketing Manager in a Wholesale/ Distribution arena. I was responsible for driving sales, distribution, and market share growth by managing and balancing the interests of customers, the team and the company to deliver short and long-term goals.
People Management: Recruited, trained, managed and motivated over 20 staff members in various roles.
Resource Management: Developed and lead strategy and budget to achieve defined business objectives, including productiveness of people (call cycle allocation by field reps, telesales in/ outbound activity). Customer service coordination (CRM Sugar program implemented, monitored and reported on); Key Account Management (grew Shareholder investment base); strengthened relations with Suppliers. Telecommunications system: management and reporting to ensure effective operations.
