Show profile Hide profileComputers and associated technology, from word processing to databases, internet and social media give us so many advantages in the work place and for more than a decade, I have tried to learn as much as I can about how to utilise the available technology to improve my effectiveness in my job.
I think of myself as being progressive because as soon as I understand enough about a task or job, I try to identify ways to be better, faster or more efficient. Adding measurable value to the company I work for is important to me and to further my input, I am always eager to learn new skills and implement new ways of doing things.
Although my main experience has been from an office administrative perspective, working as a PA or secretary, my interest in computers, web design and graphic design have been an asset in most of my jobs because I have been able to be more involved in the development process to ensure compliance with company requirements, and representation.
Furthermore, most of my PA experience has been within the executive level of business, often directly reporting to the business owners; this has given me the invaluable advantage of understanding how the business is impacted by employee actions and attitudes as well as how important cohesion and shared vision is for the overall success of any business.
