Having been introduced to experiential marketing whilst it was still in its infancy in South Africa, Rory developed a passion for creating memorable brand experiences. Redbull was the training ground where Rory started his lifelong love affair with Experiential Marketing.
After University, Rory joined Rainbow Experiential Marketing, where he gained vast experience by working on blue chip accounts such as P&G, British American Tobacco and Peugeot to name but a few.
Rory then moved to Conceptualise Promotions, where he specialised in creating consumer experiences through competitions and game shows for the likes of MTN and Coca-Cola.
In 2006 Rory took up an opportunity with Primedia@HOME, which fell within media giant's Primedia umbrella and successfully, built and managed the Consumer Promotions and Activations divisions as General Manager.
Rory was re-assigned to another Primedia company, namely Face 2 Face where he established an impressive and successful Experiential Marketing Division. Overseeing the Sales, Creative, Project Management and Strategy Departments, Rory created numerous high profile brand activation strategies as Head of Experiential Marketing.
In 2012 Rory in partnership with Frikkie Cornelius & AMW opened Oomph!... An Experiential Marketing Agency focusing on delivering highly impactful brand experiences throughout Africa. Utilising his wealth of experience in this market Rory continues to set Africa as a serious player within the international experiential community.
In 2016 Oomph! joined the Nfinity Group of companies
Rory has served as an Advisory Board Member (South Africa) to the EMF (Experiential Marketing Forum) for the past 5 years.
