Ryan Fortune has over 20 years of experience in hard news journalism, arts and culture criticism, screenwriting, film and television production, public relations and strategic marketing management.
Before joining AFPRO Connect, Ryan was Head Storyteller at one of South Africa's leading new PR agencies, where he helped to formulate and execute successful campaigns for clients such as Dept of Sport & Recreation, Nedbank, SA Book Development Council, Southern Guild and Suitsupply.
As co-founder of Red Pill Productions, he helped to develop and produce feature films, television dramas, music videos, commercials and documentaries for distribution in South Africa and internationally. Red Pill's client roster included SABC Drama, Curious Pictures, MTV Base, and Gabon TV.
Prior to this, Mr. Fortune spent over 10 years as a journalist working for the Sunday Times, This Day, Independent Newspaper Group and as a commissioning editor for SABC TV Content Hub.
