Insurance company MiWay worked together with its staff to provide 600 food parcels to families in Lenasia, Tembisa and Soweto in response to the Nelson Mandela Foundation's call "for us all to take action to end poverty".

Five of the women included in the Inspiring 50 women in Africa attended the opening of the Johannesburg Stock Exchange on 31 August 2017. Held at the end of Women's Month, the event was held to symbolise how women are becoming increasingly involved and pivotal in the technology and finance sectors.

The South African Reserve Bank and The Group of Thirty (G30), in association with Barclays Africa, co-hosted a high-level banking forum on 18 Februrary 2016. The forum discussed the importance of conduct and cultural reform in the African banking sector. Nearly 100 financial policy makers, practitioners and other stakeholders participated in the forum, which centred around the findings and recommendations from the recent G30 report, 'Banking Conduct and Culture: A Call for Sustained and Comprehensive Reform'....
Africa's largest kinetic sculpture, 'The Creovator' - was officially launched on 19 August at the WesBank head office in Fairlands, Johannesburg. The sculpture forms part of an employee engagement campaign developed by Actuate, an award-winning internal marketing and communications agency.
Over 200 young professionals from 130 organisations gathered at the quarterly Accelerate Cape Town Inspiration Session, held at the exquisite Table Bay Hotel on 30 May.
