This Family Day celebration highlighted the essence of Women's Month and showcased two strong female performers in a lively outdoor setting. Pop vocalist Moneoa Moshesh opened up for the multi-award winning artist Judith Sephuma. Moneoa with her heart wrenching ballads, sultry RnB and pop songs, burst on to the music scene in mid-2012 to positive reviews from Kaya listeners and her fans with her hit single Is'bhanxa. Judith is known for her deep-rooted traditional contemporary tones and captured the hearts of the crowd as they swayed to her hymns of jazz and RnB tracks.
Families were greeted with an option to enjoy KFC family meals and lay out their picnic spots on the grass getting comfortable for a day full of live music and DJs. Getting the crowd going with soul, dancehall, hip hop, RnB, deep house and other genres, the line-up of Kaya FM personalities like Bob Mabena and Mo-G brought families to their feet as they danced throughout the day.
The next Family Day will be announced in September - There is no time like Family Time.
